Hello and welcome! My name is Madelyn Barkocy. I’m an actor and multi-faceted artist based in New York City who is passionate about projects that shine a light on the resilience of the human spirit and the common threads that connect us all. I’m fascinated by the ways in which we move and hold ourselves, so I’m constantly trying to bring an element of physical curiosity and exploration to my work.
My background in filmmaking and photography has sparked a huge appreciation of visual images as they exist on stage as well, so the process of devising and finding unique ways of defining storytelling really excites me. Projects that break down the boundaries between mediums and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration is where I tend to gravitate.
Me and my Gemini sun sign think one of the most valuable functions of the arts is its ability to foster community. I hope to be a part of that for people who engage with my work.
